KELY Support Group Positively Influences Youth with Programs

KELY Support Group has been providing a Youth Mental Health Service in Hong Kong since 1991. This non-profit organization equips young people with knowledge and skills to manage stress and pressure. Considering that people between the ages of 14 and 24 are critical in terms of mental health, KELY is also offering a compact Teenage Harm Reduction program that focuses on drug and alcohol awareness.

Monitoring and assisting youth in overcoming social and development challenges is extremely important. The Youth Mental Health Service consists of various programs, designed to engage participants and teach them how to manage emotions and reactions in the best possible ways. One of KELY’s initiatives with great results is called Coolminds. It is a program that this organization created in partnership with Mind HK. The main goal of the initiative is to teach young people how to recognize and handle emotions. The Youth Mental Health Service also gives teachers and parents access to reliable materials and information that can help them cope with challenges at all times.

Teenage Harm Reduction is another important area that KELY Support Group covers. Through various workshops and activities, this organization educates students on drugs and alcohol; their negative effects, as well as how to resist the pressure of peers regarding harmful substances, and how to help them. The goal of Teenage Harm Reduction is to influence the participants directly and keep them away from drugs and alcohol. In addition, KELY aims to positively affect other teenagers through the attendees of the program.
